52 Fujis # 6 - Fujiidera

(Originally visited 3 weeks ago)

Fujiidera was an adventure getting to, and I had the best thing on Mos Bugrer’s menu - a spicy chili dog. Oh yes.

Then it went downhill.

Or rather, uphill, as I went exploring the map I had on my trusty GP2X. There was a weird big hole on the map, so I went to have a look-see. It was a lake, and it would turn out to be the only photo I got that day. Here it is -
The Lake
After taking this rather dull snap, I felt very much in the adventuring spirit, and continued to explore by trying a different way back to the station. Somewhere in the burbs, I took a wrong turn, and got lost. Very. Very. Lost.

Normally, I quite enjoy a bit of random getting lost-ness. Especially when it works out OK in the end, as today’s did.

Thing is, I never got to see anything else of Fujiidera, ending up, as I did, at a station twice removed from it. With absolutely no clue of how I got there, or why the girl with the improbably thin legs and ludicrous shoes who had been on the train to Fujiidera from Osaka, suddenly made a special guest appearance coming out of a house a few blocks close to my final destination.

Weird coincidences do not, however, a cool 52 Fujis entry make.

Shame that.

Cos that’s all that really happened in Fujiidera.

Dunno. Was planning on leaving some of the closer ones to the end. You know, mad panic and all. But there’s a cool looking insect museum there. They have statues. Might be worth a look.
