A Little Piece of London in Japan

The Japan Times reports that one of the Routemaster buses (that’s them there big red double decker buses) recently decomissioned in London will be making its way to Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi prefecture.

The buses were taken out of service because of their age, accessibility and running costs - they’ve been in operation since 1956.

As part of a drive to promote tourism, London officials will also be sending big red buses to Barbados, Paris and Moscow amongst other places.
