Abekawa Fireworks

Everyone loves fireworks. Both illegal and legal. Luckily in Japan, a lot of fireworks are legal. (The small ones of course).
You can toddle on down to your local convenience store, pick up a pack of bottle rockets, snakes and whizzbangers, but unfortunately this crush monkey won’t be doing that as he can’t read the language and loves his eyes too much to be risking having them fall out of their sockets (forcible caused by a projectile entering them - ie - fireworks).

Well, today, anyway.

Every year, Abekawa holds a fireworks festival, and luckily to the Crushmonkey’s vital locale, I managed to capture some of the sights of this year’s festival. I’m on the 5th floor of my apartment, so unfortunately I wean’t able to get as high as some of the peopoe in neighbouring buildings, but I think the photos that were captured were still pretty good.
