Shizuoka Represent

Seems like Fuji’s not such a boring place after all. I noticed on the train to work this week a graffiti covered building. With a website address. Sure enough, it wasn’t an empty link - bj46 has his own site showcasing a lot of work in Shizuoka and further afield. Here’s the artwork I see from the train -

You can see more at Shiro’s site and as this seems to have been a collaborative work, maybe you should check out Pesu’s site too.

If anyone knows anything more about Shiro or Pesu, do let us know; this artwork is pretty close to one of the 52 Fuji’s and I’d love to know more about how exactly a small, corrugated building in the middle of nowhere came to be so beautifully decorated.

You know Mr. C to the M to the Onkey.
I’ve noticed a few things happening in this little Prefecture, and although I haven’t noticed any Shiro or Pesu, I’ve noticed alot of Wanto. Admittedly, Wanto seems to be more into bombing, I’ve seen him from Kyoto to Tokyo. Quite prolific.

Shizuoka has a bit going on, but I can’t put my finger on it due to the lack of web/real-life-presence. Dragon Graff (http://www.dragongraff.com/ - down at time of writing) used to have artwork and also sell supplies to buke-heads.
